peer2peer

overview

simply put, you bought it, so you should own it. this environment will allow you to plug in the various tools we are creating to enable you to make content more easily. as it resides on your computer you determine who can connect to your private space. it could be simply your coworkers or creative partners or you could open this space up to all that visit your 3d webpage. this space offers you the privacy to create with the accessibilty and technology to have thousands of people in your space at one time in real time without lag. also, the peer2peer solution offers faster interaction as personal computers are doing the work without big servers straining and all of your assets in, for example, an inventory are stored outside of the environment until you bring them in. in addition, the technologies that make up the peer 2 peer network ensure absolute security. you can bring objects, animations, textures and script into the environments and out of them freely, but your IP address is always hidden and no one else can gain access to your computer through the network.

and, of course, anything you make with our tool and in our network are your intellectual property.

at present we are in set up phase for our project and would like to combine a number of different p2p networking technologies. all very scaleable. and it is not impossible that we will use a combination of them all or only one. Our path, as to which one best suits our needs as far as implementation of our tools and more importantly, your needs are concerned, will be addressed in a press announcement in mid-july.

anyone signing up before the end of july will have the chance to beta test the peer2peer network and start using it right away before it's full roll-out, when we launch the first issue in october and open the networks up to the general populace.

also, we want those who are placing ads and joining this project to have a say in how these spaces are going to be and which technologies should be used. we are looking to start testing the possibilities in the next few weeks and will make the full decision and partial implementation before the printing of the summer preview issue.
